I believe the best design can be summed up in just two words...
good ideas. Once you have that unique and memorable idea, the rest simply falls into place.
The real enjoyment for me lies in teasing out that perfect solution (and knowing it's always out there somewhere).
That said, although my heart may belong to design, I have been known to dabble in other areas...
